I’m not stupid, I get what the motives are. Then finally it will allow me to win in just a few moves and move on. When the program “wants” to try to get me to use my gold it will keep me from having enough valid moves to win, sometimes for days. It is not random, but obviously an algorithm designed to adapt to the player.
The game chooses how many options for moves you actually get. This game would be more fun if it wasn’t designed to frustrate you into spending money.
